Congratulations to Denise Ealy!

With great excitement, we congratulate Denise Ealy who has both defended her thesis entitle, “Creativity, Flexibility, and Aging”, and accepted a position as a Neuroimaging Scheduler at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. This is a competitive research position that will allow her to grow as a researcher and an academic.

Denise, you have a bright future ahead of you! We look forward to our continued collaboration going forward!

Student presentations at the 2022 MTPA meeting

On April 23rd, MTSU hosted the annual 2022 Middle Tennessee Psychological Association meeting. Graduate student researcher Denise Ealy presented a review on creative process theories and how creative activity can act as a buffer against the stresses of normative aging. Undergraduate research assistants Rachel Strong and Erika Allen presented recent data from a study on the relation between social support and leadership identity formation.

On June 20th, the annual meeting for the Middle Tennessee Psychological Association was held at Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro. I was honored to give the keynote address at the conference and enjoyed discussing aging research with all of those who attended.
